Brian P. McGuire was elected Supervisor of Hanover Township in April of 2009. Prior to his election he was the elected township clerk for six years where he earned statewide recognition for his service to veterans and members of the armed forces by Illinois Operation Support Our Troops and the Illinois Lt. Governor.
Brian served as a Township Trustee from 1993-2003, earning three statewide awards and working on many new Township programs and initiatives including the open gym program, tutoring services and community
nutrition site. In 2010, Brian received the “Supervisor of the Year” award from the Illinois Township Association of Senior Citizen Service Committees and the “Friend to Youth” award from the Association of Illinois Township Committees on Youth.
Brian lives in Bartlett with his wife, Heidi, and their three children, Carly, John, and Kevin. He is a former Captain with the Bartlett Fire Protection District and serves on the Board of Directors for the Bartlett Veterans Memorial Foundation. Prior to serving with the Bartlett Fire District he was a paid on call firefighter for the Village of Streamwood. Brian also serves as a Director of the Hanover Township Foundation.
Brian is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and St. Edwards Central High School in Elgin. He is employed as the President of the Tooling and Manufacturing Association.
